A Lyrical Analysis of Leaves, a song by Ben & Ben

     The song I have selected for this lyrical analysis is one of the songs of the famous twins Ben & Ben, titled Leaves. The lyrics of this song reflect the themes of love, forgiveness, and the passage of time. The song is about the difficulties of love, the value of forgiveness, and the belief that old scars will eventually heal over time.

    I know this song because I have been listening to Ben & Ben ever since I heard one of their songs before. Their songs are about how you truly love someone, and I think they created this song for people having a hard time in their relationships. A lot of people experience love, but not everyone is having a good time, and the purpose of this song is to give them hope that everything will be okay over time, just like how leaves grow from the bareness of trees. This song makes them feel that the pain they're experiencing in their relationship can be gone if they learn how to forgive that person because forgiveness is the key to a relationship. Forgiveness helps us forget about bad memories and make new, happy memories together. 

This song is what keeps me alive these days. I am holding onto the thought that everything will be okay in time as long as I choose to forgive to achieve peace and happiness by letting that anger and pain go away.
